This is how I see myself
I am a writer and academic based in Wisconsin. After working on a farm in South Dakota for six months followed by a stint as a stonemason's apprentice in Kennebunkport, Maine for another five, I began my undergraduate education at Wesleyan University. There, I continued to broaden my studies, ending up with a double major in American Studies and African American Studies. I am interested most in writing about culture, the way it forms, they way we are formed by it. My interest in the broad "culture" encompasses a plethora of my interests: the novel, music, comic books, identity, and more.
Outside of pure academics, I find myself interested in the art of the interview. Born from my general and deep curiosity, I am fascinated in hearing about others' work. I aim to interview and build relationships with those whose work captivates me.
I hope to display my work in one place on this website. Enjoy.
